Dionicess VI at Tony's Darts Away - June 27, 2010

Dionicess VI

I recently discovered last week that I have a passion for playing darts. I was hanging out at The Black Boar in Eagle Rock when I came upon a chance to take on a fellow who was quite good at darts. Well, I nearly beat him, but I realized that I could still hang with a very good darts player. It just so happens that a very good beer bar by the name of Tony's Darts Away opened recently in Burbank. That makes it a priority in my mind.

Tony's Darts Away will also be the center of LA's Beer Geekdom on June 27th when Beer Maven Gev Kazanchyan hosts the sixth iteration of Dionicess, a beer and food night that will feature some superb beers from Firestone Walker Brewing Company and grilled sausages. The cost is $35 per person (for food and drink) and requires pre-registration to attend. Tickets go on sale precisely at 12AM on April 30th (that would be midnight of April 29th just in case), with proceeds benefiting Real Medicine Foundation, an organization that provides humanitarian support to people living in disaster, post-war and poverty stricken areas.

I was at this dive in Los Feliz called the drawing room or something.

Wasn't drinking that night so instead picked up a dart and through it at the target for the very first time!
