Ludo Fried Chicken at LA Street Food Fest

Food trucks. They've exploded. It seems that you can't drive two blocks before running into one strategically parked next to an office park or retail strip. Well if ever the quasi foodie, or perhaps the genuine one, wanted an orgiastic collection of food truck mania, look no further than LA Center Studios, tomorrow February 13th from 11AM to 5PM. I honestly thought there was a limit on the number of possible food truck concepts, but it seems like a new one is deployed every week.

With that said, I think one rises to the top. Chef Ludo has more than a bag of culinary tricks up his sleeve, but for just one day, he'll be busting out one of his most popular dishes (and one that might just be canonized in the greatest dishes ever created in L.A.). Ludo Fried Chicken. It just rolls off your tongue. You don't even want to shorten it to LFC, it does an injustice to the beauty of the whole phrase.

Ludo Fried Chicken. I wonder what kind of beer I would drink with this? Ludo becomes the modern, Angeleno (plus French) version of Colonel Sanders. If I were a crazy entrepreneur, I'd have no problem pitting Ludo's fried chicken against some of South's best creations. The accompanying sauce for the fried chicken is yet to be decided, so you're going to have to stop by tomorrow to find out what it is. In the past it's been sauced with a mole.

For this year, for this decade, there's no better zeitgeist than Ludo Fried Chicken.

You can get your fix tomorrow at the LA Street Food Fest for just $5 bucks a pop.

Sadly I won't be able to try Ludo's Fried Chicken this time around, so eat an extra piece for me!

I can't believe you were giving out fried chicken food favors to people like the Gastronomer!

Cafe Pasadena: Oh the Gastronomer wasn't the only one getting fried chicken favors! The list of those that did were in the who's who of LA food people :) I'm sure karma will return the favor one day haha

Riot, Rebellion, ¡Revolución! heh

Too bad I missed out on LA Street Food Fest (and of course the LFC!) Given the mixed reviews from that day's tweets and the day-after blogposts, it sounds like one really has to be there and form his or her opinion.

Here's hoping for a LASFF & LFC redux soon!

Wow, great picture. Though I missed out on this event, I feel like I got to sample a bit via my computer's screen. Granted, poking a fork into the screen isn't a good idea, but it was worth a shot!
