Not Quite Film

Nope, these shots aren't taken in film. You can tell by the crappy contrasts and too-sharp lines that are signature of digital photography. Oh well.

I still haven't fired up my new film camera because I haven't had the chance to find reasonably priced CR2 batteries, which are a dying breed of battery that is exorbitantly expensive. Two batteries at any drug store are nearly the price I paid for my camera! ($15 btw).

I've been swamped at work, working late hours so I barely have any time to post. For those of you who think that the banking industry is not moving right now - that doesn't mean we're not busy. We're still trying to manage our portfolios in the recession and we're keeping understaffed (as I'm the only analyst here). Anyways, I hope you had enjoy at least this tidbit of photography (taken inside and outside of Cole's) and thumb through my Flickr photos, as you can see on the lower side bar.

I have tons of posts waiting to be unleashed once things let up at work. Until then, have a great weekend!

I hate it when work gets in the way of the good stuff.

yeah, but work does fuel most of my food escapades so I can't complain too much.

The main issue I see with digital is limited dynamic range (i.e. blown out highlights).

It's interesting that you started out in digital and are now moving to film. I was an old Minolta film shooter that transitioned to digital relatively late.

BTW, I pulled the trigger on the Sigma 28mm f/1.8 macro. It should arrive in time for me to test it out at Providence (a place that's proved very challenging to photograph in the past).
